Just a couple of years ago we didn’t use too much technology when working out, besides equipment and stopwatches. With new technology advancements wearable fitness gadgets are becoming the in thing to do. CES showcased a bunch of different kinds of awesome gadgets from smartwatches to intelligent jewelry, fitness trackers, sleep aids, but only some are actually worthy of mention. So here are some of the fitness gadgets that you may have overlooked, and might think about purchasing.
Withings Aura
Fitness trackers are sweet, but what if you need help sleeping? Withings Aura will wake you up with a colored light when you’re ready in the morning, but looks kind of odd. Although odd look it is about function over form, and it promises to help you achieve better sleep and wake up refreshed.
Netamo June
The sun is pretty amazing, and I have been waiting for this freezing winter to hurry up and finish. This piece of smart jewelry will tell you how much UV rays have harmed you. It matches up to your smartphone over Bluetooth which will let you monitor how tan you get before getting a sunburn.
Tinke
Tinke monitors your heart rate, blood oxygen level, breathing rate monitor all in one device. Tinke is bringing your health tracking to a whole new level. This device basically tells you how healthy and fit the user is, but hopefully you are not fully relying on any device to let you know if you are healthy or dying.
Notch
The notch is an un-ordinary way of tracking your fitness by that it is modular. Notch hooks up to 10 other sensors all across your boy tracking all of your movements. It will let you know how your body is moving, like kicking a ball, shooting a hoop, or serving a tennis ball. This allows athletes to improve upon technique.
RunPhones
If you’re like me then you can’t run with in ear headphones, and find over the head ones uncomfortable, but you can’t run or workout without your tunes. Runphones put’s some speakers into a headband that will not fall out of your ears or move around, and the upgraded version has a player built into them to play music, or book on tape, whatever you are into.
Kolibree
2014 means almost everything is connect to an app in some way or another, so why not a toothbrush? Kolibree doesn’t just track your brushing time, but it uses an accelerometer and magnetometer to sense the direction, and it will know how well you are actually brushing your teeth. It is ideal for someone with poor dental habits, but can’t take seeing a low mark in any category.
Withings Blood Pressure Monitor
Want to leave some stress? Maybe the kids are stressing you out or your boss is making your life feel like hell? This pressure monitor can tell you how much those things are affecting your well-being. Whatever you do with your new found information is up to use just don’t try to blame us or Withings
Tao Wellshell
The Tao Wellshell is another fitness tracker, but takes it to another level. It tracks your motions and integrates it into a workout based on isometrics. Tao Wellshell helps to produce a precise workout with the use of your own muscle strength, and can double as a game controller for certain games.
Wellograph
This fitness watch sounds like it is tracking your well-being by heart rate monitor. The best part is it can last up to two weeks on a couple our charge, and a protective face so the screen won’t see too much damage. On the Wellograph you can view a couple months’ worth of tracking to see what you have been doing, and like all gadgets it will connect to your smartphone.
Sony SmartBand
The Sony SmartBand can track your motions, and logs stuff like what music you listen to and where you have been. This SmartBand is logging your everyday activities, and matches up with the Lifelog Android app.
LG Lifeband Touch
Ofcourse LG would also try to get in on the fitness trend along with everyone else. The Lifeband is like the Nike Fuelband, but it is actually has a touch screen. LG has their own fitness app which the Lifeband connect to via Bluetooth, and the band can display your notification, calls, and control music on your smartphone.
Razer Nabu
Nope this is not a mouse or a keyboard, but even Razer has released their own fitness tracker. To let their gamers know their blood pressure whenever they lose a raid? The Nabu can track you motions with the built in accelerometer and altimeter, and has two small OLED screens. One of the screens is for notifications and one for messages, emails, and other text notifications that you may have.
