So we already have our first look into CarPlay, Apple's in-car solution that should be sweeping across most automotive platforms. But DMCPat, a YouTuber could not wait for the new technology to be available. So he took control of the situation and added his own twist to integrating his iPad into his DeLorean. Luckily the iPad Mini already comes in with it's own car UI, so no need to fiddle with it in that aspect.
The addition of the iPad to the 1987 DeLorean is no Flux Capacitor, but sure helps give the old beast a modern feel. For all we know this could be the real Doc Brown, and he is giving up on his time travelling, or not.
Anyways DMCPat did not just stop there, he brought his car into the present with new technology such as HID's and L.E.D.'s. Honestly the Flux Capacitor is nice, but I could settle for DMCPat's DeLorean, minus the under-glow. Most of his mods are pretty tasteful, and well executed and I like his choice on wheels.
Enough of me juicing over the car. DMCPat turns on the ignition and shows us the interface of the iPad, which some of us will know, and some of us won't. As you would expect, it does everything like playing music, GPS, and whatever other apps you would like to add to it if you think it would help. If you are a pretty decent DIY-er then this should be a pretty easy task for you, assuming you have the time and the funds. New technology is nice, but sometimes the best things are the 1-off items that you put together yourselves, and it's okay to use new technology like the iPad, but in a different way. And DMCPat if you see this get rid of the under-glow man that is the only thing taking away from the car!
