Samsung Getting Fit

The Gear Fit is a smartwatch geared more toward the fitness realm. This awesome gadget has a curved Super AMOLED touch display that measures in at 1.84 inches, and 432 x 128 pixel resolution. The dimensions come in at 23.4 x 57.4 x 11.99 mm and only ways 27 grams. This makes it Samsung’s lightest smartwatch, which makes sense since it is for fitness purposes.

The Gear Fit is still as functional as the Gear to a point, since it can receive incoming calls, emails, Text messages, alarms, and receive notifications from the S-planner.  The only thing is that it has been streamlined for fitness purposes including pedometer, exercise level, heart rate, sleep time, stopwatch and timer.

The heart rate monitor sits on the back of the watch and on top of your wrist. This enables you to check your heart rate at any time you want to, steps you took, and many other things that relate to fitness statistics.  The Gear Fit can get three to four days of battery life on its 210 mAH battery, possibly 5 with very light usage (probably means you’re not working out hard enough). Of course since you will pumping out a lot of sweat the awesome gadget is water proof, even though that shouldn’t have to be said were just letting you know.

The device was showed off at the Mobile World Congress alongside the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. This means it was a complete surprise, and will not be shipping out in April like the others. So we will have to keep an eye out to see when this awesome gadget will hit the shelves.
