Gaming consoles have always had their issues upon launch and
this generation of gaming is no different. For the PS4 gamers are experiencing a
number of issues from funky HDMI ports to pulsating lights to crashing PSN and
it can go on and on. Likewise on the
other side of the fence the Xbox One having issues of its own such as eating
disc sounds when you insert your CD to being banned upon EOU update. These
issues are spreading across all social media platforms. If you have a Facebook or Twitter then you
have probably heard one of your friends complain about how they are disappointed
in their next-gen console.
From a consumer stand point this should never happen to any
big name products at this extent because then one would feel as if your
spending $400 + on a Chinese knockoff. Both these companies are working hard to
fix the issues and Microsoft claims that the ban can be lifted with another
update, so we shall see.
The lesson from these next-gen consoles is to eliminate the
hassle of this consumer product as they are just bad versions of PC’s with less
functionality. For approximately $200
more you could have yourself a nice I5k gaming system that you can still hook
up to your TV if need be. The benefit of
having a PC is that you will be able to use STEAM and other online retailers to
get new and old games for a fraction of the cost that you would spend for a
hard copy of the game. Also if you thought that the PS4 or Xbox One had good
graphics then a PC would blow you away with the proper setup. Now I am not paid
by any of these online retailers, but hold a strong passion for PC over
everything regarding gaming and i would also like to retract my statements I made about the PS4 in an earlier post. If you think otherwise voice your thoughts below in the comments.
