Ann Makosinski a Filipino Polish Canadian student who invented the first flashlight solely powered by body heat. She got inspired from a friend in the Philippines, who had severe electricity problems in the third world country and was unable to study without light. She really wanted to help her friend, and now her invention can be world changing. Ann is getting her recognition with her device winning the 2013 Google Science Fair. So let us see how far and wide her invention will spread, lighting up poor countries around the world.
