The original Microsoft Xbox console lost between $100-$125 per console. This means that they lost upwards of about $4 billion. Luckily Microsoft is okay with operating in the red in order to establish itself in whatever industry it tries to branch into.

Space Dynamics Laboratory created a lightweight UAV with gun turret. The UAV has a .338 Lapua Magnum rifle and a camera mounted to it, and features a scope that has two levels of zoom. All this weaponry is controled with a laptop and a Xbox 360 controller.


Israeli Military

Israeli developer developed the system that can interpret your gestures to help make hands free electronic device control just by using the infrared projector and camera. This software can record all movements in a virtual 3 dimension world.


Halo

This has ended online multi-player gaming for many of the older gamers who do not want to adapt to the newer games and cannot move on. A student by the name of Mike Rowe bought the domain name Mikerowesoft.com and Microsoft sent the Mike a copyright lawsuit for owning the domain. He declined Microsoft offer of $10, which was how much he paid for the domain, but eventually gave up the rights. He received a new compensation of a paid trip to Washington to receive a Microsoft certification, and a brand new Xbox.


Dreamcast

Did you know that Microsoft first dabbled in the video game business with Dreamcast? That is right in 1998 Microsoft teamed up with SEGA to work on the Dreamcast, Microsoft offered a optimized Windows CE OS with DirectX. This is what the Dreamcast ran on, too bad SEGA did not do well with this system.
