People at universities are always coming up with some pretty sweet new technology, some of their discoveries make it far and some do not. A Iowa State scientist developed a new material that is made from a special polymer that will melt away when it is triggered to do so. The ultimate plan here is to design stuff for medical use that can melt away in your body without causing the person any harm, or to build James Bond like gadgets that erase the data by completely destroying the device either way this is some pretty sweet stuff.
