People as a whole have revolved around making things go faster such as food, cars, and basically anything that moves (unless you live in Houston). It is safe to say that a lot of us have an obsession with speed, and even have a big book that has records recorded in it for bragging rights. So hopefully you can read over this fast enough and still get a grasp of what was written, if not I don't blame you for reading slowly and taking your time as this may already be out dated by the time you finish.

The CERN statement needs to be edited. The measurement was not "recent" and this was proven to be an error 2 years ago ago. The current understanding of the speed of light stands.
