Unsubscribe From Spam With Google

Spam has plagued us all, unless you do not sign up for anything with that email address ever. Google knows that we hate spam dearly. That is why they added a new button to "unsubscribe" to make it easier to get off of anyone's email list.

The advertising world is built around lists, and it seems like every business has you on one. Or that every business at the minimum is asking you to sign up for their newsletter to use their service. You sign up and find yourself with a full mailbox and long instructions to unsubscribe which can be very time consuming, and one would simply just give up. Or sometimes you just cannot find the dang unsubscribe button, then give up even quicker because you’re too frustrated.

Google understands you. This is why they added the easy unsubscribe button. Open up your Gmail, find the offending e-mail and next to their email address should be a link saying "unsubscribe." Then when you click on it, Gmail gives a pop up making sure you want to unsubscribe, then there you go. Done.

Note that it still may take a couple days to actually unsubscribe from the mailing list, but it will happen. Okay, the catch is the button is not going to work for every company, but it will be there for a lot of them, otherwise you will just have to have at it the old fashion way.

You may not be able to see this feature yet, but Google does have it rolling out, so you will see it soon for sure. Piss off, Spam!
