The Brick Back in fashion?

future gadgets

As future gadgets get bigger and bigger with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO, and Asus Vivo Tab Note to name a few. Why not bring back Martin Cooper's brick?

Binatone is trying to do just that with their take on this awesome gadget of the past. Technology has advanced enough ever since the cell phones debut in 1983 to make it better than it ever was (unless you count smartphones).

Binatone may have took the idea of reinventing an old idea a little too far because there really seems no reason to own one except for nostalgia sake or to be "Hipster" ( I use that term because I know that is what you are probably thinking). I probably won't buy this phone, and you probably won't buy it either, but it is pretty neat that it does exist. You know, just for the sake of something "new" and different. Although if you do not fancy smartphones, this might be an awesome gadget for you.

The phone is a straight up two-way device, where you can use a SIM card and be your everyday phone or, you could use Bluetooth and keep your actual phone in your pocket or nearby. The best features of this phone is that it is so minimalistic that the battery lasts up to month with the base model ($70) and the upgraded version can last up to three months ($100). Also you can use the speaker through Bluetooth and play snake, that's right snake. I know with the mention of snake, a lot of you will hop on Binatone's website and submit your order. Also in my opinion that being able to get this phone for 70 bucks and with no internet and almost no features would make this a better phone to get your child. Rather than an iPhone, with technology being a pretty big distraction in some kid's life nowadays, toss a little simplicity back into a young minds life. Whether this awesome gadget is for you or your kid, it is pretty sweet for the novelty.
