James Avery played Uncle Phil in the 90's comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air passed away at the age of 65. Uncle Phil can be considered one of the greatest TV dads because:
- When you were in a jam he was there for you.
- A sensitive yet stern role model.
- Not someone you could walk over.
- Could Kick people out of the house.
- He was a good dancer.
That was his television persona, but he was also a classically trained thespian, and he crafted the role of Mr. Banks very well. Every fan of the show probably had their hate and love for Uncle Phil, but he was the heart of Fresh Prince. So here is our tribute to the Greatest television dad of the 90's.
