Shaq Fu, a game that a lot of kids my age can find quite memorable. Shaq Fu brings out a lot of amusement and nostalgia, giving the legendary seven foot center Shaquille O'Neal in a fighting game? What could be funnier to see from one your favorite athletes turned actor/ video game star.
In the 90's the NBA did not take itself too serious, and was more popular than it is today, with athletes that whine more, and get paid a whole lot more. Stars liked to put themselves out there into cartoons and do silly things, and now you can't even get a NBA "star" known for dunking into the dunk contest ( ehhmm LeBron James), just too cool for the public sitting on all their cash.
If we want to see a game with one of our favorite athletes we have to wait for someone to do it out of fun independently. Shaq is going to change all of that, and Joystiq has all the insiders that are in the works. Word of the Shaq Fu title and Shaq had a little teaser to show off at CES, and it all seems to be coming together for the sequel that nobody expected Shaq Fu 2.
