How to: Unsend Your Email On Gmail

gmail

Pressing send on a Email and regretting it is something of the past. Gmail has a feature you may not have known about that is buried among all the other Gmail features. That is right their is a feature for you to delete an email you may have set mistakenly, or out of anger.

To enable this feature you must be logged into your Gmail account then go to settings options on the right side of your screen and find this Gmailbutton.

Withing the settings menu:

  • Settings
  • Select Labs (not labels)
  • Then towards the bottom of the list you should see "Undo Send"
  • Click the Enable button then save
  • When done hit the Gmailagain then go back to settings.
  • Scroll to General and you should find the Undo Send option. This is where you can set how long you got to unsend the email you have just sent.
Now when you send a message a pop up option will appear at the top of screen with an option to undo.

Now this feature doesn't save you from unsending your email hours later, but if you have a change of mind in at least half a minute you are saved. So you got till the time is up to take back your email, and if you miss it then it is time to live with that email and hope it isn't read.
